According to the a report this Thursday, Apple’s suppliers are producing Mini-LED panels for the upcoming MacBook Pro devices and iPad Mini 6.In this report, Radiant Optoelectronics will begin mass production of backlight units in the third quarter of this year, and plans to expand in volume in the fourth quarter.
Compared with the traditional backlight method, Mini-LED can provide better contrast, higher brightness level, and better black. As early as 2020, Apple Securities analyst Guo Mingchi predicted that the new iPad mini model will be equipped with Mini-LED backlight.
Earlier in July, Bloomberg reported that the iPad mini 6 will be launched in the fall.
