Godfall’s action RPG is already preparing its assault on other consoles, and the first would be PS4

Godfall, one of the titles that accompanied its launch to the PS5, aims to be released soon to other game systems. More specifically, the PS4 would be the platform that would receive the action and fighting game from Counterplay Games and Gearbox Publishing, or at least that is what a recent record of the game that appeared in recent days, from Europe, suggests.

Counterplay Games and Gearbox Publishing have yet to reveal a version of the game for PS4.

The registration for this new version of Godfall was carried out a few days ago, on Friday, April 23, before PEGI, the system in charge of classifying video games in the old continent. It is striking that within the title page, this date was placed next to the launch date that its counterparts for PlayStation 5 and PC had (November 12 and 19, 2020), so many consider it strange that the current one belongs to the discharge of the game and not the one of its exit.

Similarly, many were struck by the fact that PlayStation 4 may be the next platform on which the game is released. Although prior to its departure it was confirmed that its exclusivity on PS5 would be temporary for only six months, many believed that after that time the game would be landing on the Xbox Series systems (or even Nintendo Switch ); although when seeing this record, everything seems to point to that it will not be the case.

At the moment, this new version of the last generation of Godfall has not yet been officially announced. But after knowing its official registration, we do not doubt that its developers will announce it soon.

Godfall, a bittersweet launch game

Despite being one of the first launch games for the PS5, Godfall received quite mixed reviews and showed several disagreements. In our review, we noted that the game has a solid and interesting combat system as well as amazing graphics, but that bugs in its online matchmaking system or its nefarious interfaces made this an experience not suitable for many players, and with the potential of being overwhelming and unnecessarily complex.
