One of the great novelties that the new Fortnite Season 6 has brought to Fortnite has been the possibility of hunting and taming animals to take advantage of their resources and craft objects or use them as helpers.
In this guide we will tell you how to find the different animals (chicken, wild boar, frog and wolf), how to hunt them to get their materials and supplies and, of course, also how to tame them to take advantage of their strength when winning the game.
Where to find Fortnite animals
Here we explain in which areas of the map you can find the different animals of Fortnite Season 6:
- Wild boar: you will find them in open country areas. They usually walk alone or accompanied by another wild boar through the meadows.
- Wolf: they flock through wooded areas, but it will be rare to find more than three together. They will attack you if they see you.
- Chicken: they are in the areas of the spiral towers, both the central one and those that approach the outer edge.
- Frog – Any area near a river, lake, or swamp will have frogs nearby. You just have to be vigilant because they are small enough to blend in with the stage.
What materials can I get from each animal
These are the materials that you will get when you hunt each animal. Killing them is very easy and shouldn’t take you more than two or three shots, so keep an eye out for their possible lunges and shoot from afar to avoid scares.
- Wild boar: meat and bones
- Wolf: meat and bones.
- Chicken: meat and bones.
- Frog: vesicles.
How to tame animals
The only animals you can tame to accompany you to fight are the wild boar and the wolf. Getting it is very easy and the system is practically the same, but it requires some patience:
- Collect meat for the wolf when hunting animals, or fruit and vegetables for the wild boar.
- Find a wolf or wild boar and throw its corresponding bait from a distance (aim and shoot with the selected object).
- When the animal approaches to eat the bait, approach it until you see the action button to tame it. Press it and it will be yours.
