The Digital Foundry team has taken advantage of the arrival of the new and latest edition of backward compatible games to analyze how they work with the FPS Boost. The team of technical analysts has dedicated a video to analyze how these games work and what are the improvements that they add to the already known ones.
At the moment Microsoft has announced that the program is stopped and there will be no more backward compatible games, which is assumed that there will be no more games that make use of the FPS Boost. The American company does not close the doors to anything in the future, but for the moment it seems that all the games that we currently have through backward compatibility will be the end of a nice trip.
Assassin’s Creed, Fallout 3, Gears Of War 3, Sonic Generations, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic & All-Star Racers Transformed have been the games that have been analyzed in this video. In the exam, the improvements in resolution and the rate of images per second that all of them experience stand out, to the point that in some like Fallout 3 the improvement is impressive.
