Huawei has already shown us in other smart watches, such as the Watch Ultimate that we analyzed a few months ago, that it is capable of offering devices of this type with very good finishes and, technologically speaking, of high quality.
With the Huawei Watch 4 Pro they have gone one step further, offering not only great quality, but a premium touch that will delight those users who are looking for a device with high standards in its manufacture and materials.
It’s like having a watch of a lifetime, with the finishes of the big brands, but being a smart device and offering all the best of that world.

There is only room for one sentence… it is very premium
This Huawei Watch 4 Pro is spectacular in every way, not only for materials, but also for finishes and exquisite design. We dare to say that it is one of Huawei’s best smart watches to date.
Due to its structure, it is not a smart watch that at first is in direct competition with the Apple Watch Ultra or the Apple Watch Series 8, since these are square and this one is round, but in spirit, it is the smart watch that Huawei has made to unseat to those of the bitten apple, without a doubt.
The technique that the Chinese brand has used is to offer a watch with finishes to match those offered by the Apple Watch Ultra, but going a step further to implement elegance, sobriety and a touch of classicism in the same device.
The casing is made of aerospace grade titanium, which provides the image and sensations of wearing a very premium range smart watch. The strap is made of the same material, so this feeling of a luxury watch is multiplied.
It is true that there may be users who find it a heavy smartwatch, but for how big it is, it is really surprising how comfortable it is to wear on the wrist thanks to its 65 grams of weight (without the strap).
The strap is 22 mm and incorporates an extremely simple system to replace it by means of a button that allows us, just by pressing it, to separate it from the casing. Something that we have loved is that, being a titanium strap, Huawei has included more parts to incorporate in case our wrist is larger and we need to enlarge it.
We have a button on the right edge, which is dedicated to taking us to the applications or works to return to the sphere when we are in an app. It also has another button in this same area, but at the bottom, which is used for quick actions and recent applications.
It is a smart watch that helps us to go swimming without problems, since we are talking about a resistance of 5 ATM, or what is the same, a guarantee of being able to submerge up to 50 meters in salt water.
The screen is a 1.5-inch AMOLED LTPO touch screen, which offers a brightness of 1,000 nits and a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, reaching a density of 310 ppi . We are talking about a sapphire crystal panel and a screen-to-body ratio of 71.72%.
It is a screen with a low consumption Always On Display system of only 1 Hz.
It looks really great, both indoors and outdoors, with a definition of color that we have loved and excellent viewing angles.
It is a joy of screen, especially because, as we told you, it is a great panel both inside the house and outside. It does not matter if there are many reflections or if the sun shines directly, since we will be able to see it in perfect condition, thanks to its good definition and quality of brightness.
When it comes to responding, it is fast, without any delay and with enough fluidity to keep up with the pace that we set for it without any problem.
Notifications, health and exercise to the millimeter, although apps are still missing
This is a watch equipped with the best functions to obtain measurements on our health and on our sports activity, although it is not a device that is sport.
Regarding the health faculties that it integrates, we can highlight:
- The Respiratory Check system, by which it is able to record respiratory rate, SpO2 (blood oxygen) range and cough sounds, with which it can assess the lung health of the individual. Let us make it clear that this is an indication whose results, if they are not positive, must be corroborated by a specialized doctor.
- It also incorporates Huawei TruSleep 3.0 sleep motorisation thanks to which it informs us of the stages of sleep (light sleep, deep sleep, REM and awake), by analyzing multiple parameters.
- Use the Health Glance feature to get data on heart rate, arterial stiffness detection, stress levels, and skin temperature.
- In addition to all this, it has real-time reminders for those who have a problem with respect to everything that we have indicated lines above.
- It incorporates a fall detection system that allows an SOS message to appear on the watch, so that when pressed, we can communicate with a previously configured contact.
- It also supports more than 100 sports modes, including running, cycling, swimming, and more, to get better results from your efforts in those sports.
As for the ability of the Huawei Watch 4 Pro to fine-tune the sensors and motorisation functions to the maximum, we have to give it an A+, since in this sense the brand manages to make its devices highly accurate.
As is normal in Huawei smart watches, the control and collection of all data is done through the Health app, which is available for iOS and Android (using AppGallery).
This is an application that is very clear with a well-defined graphics system, with which we are going to be able to better understand what has been the result of our physical effort or health measurement, in addition to incorporating a history of all the main sections.
The watch is synchronized with our smartphone via Bluetooth 5.2 and is also compatible with NFC. Inside the watch we can store music, in order to synchronize them with a bluetooth headset and not have to depend on the mobile for it.
The operating system that rules the new Huawei smart watch is Harmony OS 3.0, which is much more fluid than the previous version and with superior performance in all the internal movements that we are making on the watch.
The app store is still somewhat limited with such important absences as Spotify or Runtastic, to give you two examples.
Although a Spotify app cannot be installed on the watch, we will be able to manage it from the smartwatch, once opened on the mobile, being able to skip the song or turn the volume up and down. In the case of Runtastic, the necessary data can be sent to the phone app, since that part is compatible.
We can change the spheres for those that come predetermined on the watch or download new ones (both paid and free) in the Health app, in order to give it a different touch whenever we want.
We will receive notifications from the smartphone, although we will not be able to answer those that require written text, as is already the case in Google ‘s WearOS operating system or Apple Watch.
By incorporating a speaker and two microphones (to guarantee higher quality) calls made to our mobile phones can be answered. The watch is compatible with eSIM, so it could be incorporated.
More limited than we would have liked
The brand ensures that the autonomy of this Huawei Watch 4 Pro should move between 4 and 5 days.
We must refute this claim with great regret, as our tests have not been as optimistic and we have experienced results of less duration.
In normal use, from our day to day, we have never managed to exceed 3 days of autonomy, only remaining in two when the level of notifications or exercise was more intense.
We have tried to subject them to different situations, making it receive few notifications and using it for some exercise or letting everything the phone receives show us on the clock screen and using it to manage the music that played on Spotify.
In the end, the result has been the same, he endures it for two days without a problem, but he has serious difficulties to exceed 3 days, let alone to reach 4 or 5.
Of course, Huawei has an ultra-long autonomy system, which deactivates a good part of the watch’s functions (including the possibility of changing the dial) in exchange for greater autonomy, although it does not seem to us that it is an excessively usable function, except in an emergency..
As for charging, it is wireless, using a highly efficient magnetic charger that is always placed the first time. It is capable of recovering 50% of the battery in just 25-27 minutes, to full power in just 64-66 minutes.
Another extremely positive facet is the fact that it is compatible with universal Qi wireless chargers.
Versions, offers and price of the Huawei Watch Watch 4 Pro
The truth is that the Huawei 4 Pro can be found in the Titanium version or in another called Brown Leather.
You cannot opt for anything other than these two options, although the one we have analyzed is the Titanium version.
We can opt for the Huawei Watch 4, which is smaller with a sphere size of 46 mm and made of steel, along with a strap made of the same material. In addition, for its launch, the brand gives away the Huawei FreeBuds 5i headphones totally free. The price, with a fluoroelastomer strap, is 449.90 dollars.
Regarding the price of Huawei Watch 4 Pro, it is not a smart watch that is exactly cheap, but at the level in which we find ourselves, it is even more affordable than an Apple Watch Ultra. It will be available in its Brown Leather version for 549.90 dollars and for 649.90 dollars in its Titanium version, also with the FreeBuds 5i as a promotional gift.
Is it worth buying the Huawei Watch 4 Pro?
The statement that you could read almost at the beginning of this analysis, considering this watch as one of the best that Huawei has made, which also places it as one of the best in the entire market, we believe that it has been demonstrated after all that we have told you.
It may be that for some user it is excessively large or even consider that it is heavy (something that contradicts its size, that is, it has a very good size/weight performance), there are those who consider that it is “too stately”, but It is true that all these statements can be diluted by their quality, not only external, but also internal.
The level of finishes is spectacular, its screen is a true marvel, the level of fluidity of the system is the best on the market and, of course, the number of functions that it offers us can be used for health, exercise or use diary.
It may be that the autonomy could be better, but, unless you are a person who is very uncomfortable charging the watch every 2-3 days (many WearOS have to be charged every day), it does not seem like a compelling reason to put in between Said all the good things about the smartwatch.
With all this we mean that, if you like it, do not hesitate to buy it, because what you are going to wear on your wrist is going to be quality everywhere.
Our valuation
It is a smart watch with extremely premium finishes and material, in which the screen and fluidity are two extremely positive parts, in addition to granting multiple functions for the user. It is clear that it is an option to take into account.
