The ‘app’ will let you know if the call is ‘spam’ and know the name of the company so that you can decide whether to answer or not.
Calls from unknown numbers or that we do not have added to the phonebook can become a nuisance. Anyone who receives them tends to answer the mobile phone because they think it may be about some important matter. But often the resolution is very annoying, since they end up being spam or advertising calls that try to offer you a service or improve the quality of one of those you have. Sometimes they can even be scams that operate if you call back .
They are really inopportune if they occur while you are doing other things or simply if you find yourself resting. To solve this nuisance, Google has a tool that can be very useful because it will allow you to know who is calling you, beyond seeing some digits or the words ‘unknown number’ on the screen and thus you can decide if it is worth answering or not.
The new tool is called ‘Verified Calls‘ and, for now, it is only available for Android devices. What the tool offers us can save you a lot of time and inconvenience: if you use it, next to the phone that calls you will appear the name of the company, the logo and the reason for the call, in addition to being accompanied by a verification symbol so that you can be sure of its authenticity .
If you are interested, you will have to start by downloading the ‘Google Phone’ application from the ‘Play Store’. Once installed on your device, it will have to be configured so that it is the default ‘app’ with the telephone function and the calls that are received are through it.
This will allow the tool to capture the origin of any unknown calls. To do this, you must enter the ‘Telephone’ application of your mobile and click on the three vertical dots that appear in the upper right corner of the screen. In the next window, you will have to go to ‘Settings’ and, once there, enable various functions that will be useful for identifying unknown numbers.
It is about clicking on ‘Identification of calls and spam’ and, in that category, activating the options of ‘Filter spam calls ‘, so that they do not bother you, and ‘Verified calls’, which is the method that will identify the company who makes the call as well as the reason for the contact.
