GeForce 511.23 WHQL with DLDSR: Graphics driver for GeForce RTX 3080 12GB and God of War

With the new GeForce 511.23 WHQL, Nvidia has released the first official graphics driver for the new GeForce RTX 3080 with 12 GB and the PlayStation 4 flagship title God of War (test), which was successfully ported to the Windows PC. The graphics driver also brings support for Nvidia DLDSR for the first time.

The GeForce 511.23 WHQL ensures several premieres, in addition to the new GeForce RTX 3080 with 12 GB GDDR6X, which Nvidia will probably soon provide with a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with 16 GB and a “new” GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, which has not yet been presented, For the first time, the new graphics driver also supports Deep Learning Dynamic Super Resolution (“DLDSR”), which is an extension of DSR and can access Nvidia’s AI network.

In addition, the driver for the PC version of God of War, which now also supports Nvidia Reflex (test) for the first time, and the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise is optimized.

Nvidia DLDSR is clearly superior to DSR

As a kind of better DSR with AI support, DLDSR is said to be visually comparable to classic DSR with 4x downsampling at a downsampling of 2.25x, but with higher FPS numbers.

Using Prey (test) as an example , Nvidia speaks of identical FPS compared to a native 1080p resolution with 2.25 times the DLDSR (1620p to 1080p). Here, Nvidia promises a better picture with the same FPS number, while classic 4x DSR has to lose a lot of performance.

Nvidia DLDSR can be activated via the Nvidia Control Panel → Manage 3D Settings → DSR Factors.
