Samsung Galaxy S10 begin to receive One UI 4.0 based on Android 12

For more than a month we have known the roadmap that Samsung will follow to update its devices to the latest version of its operating system. However, it seems that the company has decided to accelerate the process, so that some terminals are receiving Android 12 under the new One UI 4.0 layer earlier than expected.

The Galaxy S21s were the first to welcome this update, although Samsung was forced to temporarily stop it due to errors. A few hours ago, we learned that the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 have also begun to receive it. And now the South Korean manufacturer has released the stable Android 12 update for the Galaxy S10 series in some markets.

Three years of updates on the Samsung S10 series

Last year, company announced a change in its update policy and committed to providing the latest version of Android for three years to the Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Z, Galaxy A and Galaxy Tab S series, the manufacturer confirmed that its S10 family, which hit the market with Android 9 in 2019, would receive Android 12 in January 2022.

But the deadlines have been advanced and three devices of the Galaxy S10 series have already started to receive the stable version of One UI 4.0 based on Android 12. These are the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 +, which are already being updated in many countries.

As reported in some website, the new updates come with firmware version G97xFXXUEGULB and include the December 2021 security patch, which fixes several privacy and security vulnerabilities. It is expected that the company will release the update in more markets in the next few days, the same as that of the Galaxy Note 10 series.

Although you will receive a notice when the update is available via OTA, if you own one of those three terminals of the Galaxy S10 series, you can find it by going into Settings> Software Update.
