Nvidia opens supercomputers to British medical researchers for free

According to foreign media reports, Nvidia announced on Wednesday local time that it has opened its requirements for the fastest supercomputer in the UK to external researchers, including scientists and researchers from commercial companies such as AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline.

Nvidia claims that Cambridge1 is the most powerful supercomputer in the UK. The total cost of this supercomputer is about 100 million U.S. dollars. You can use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to solve medical research problems. The top 500 supercomputers are completely powered by renewable energy.

According toreports, Nvidia announced in October last year that it would build the country’s most powerful supercomputer in Cambridge, England. The company originally planned to invest 40 million pounds (55.692 billion U.S. dollars)in the project, but now the companysinvestmentis twice the original plan (about 100 million U.S. dollars).

Nvidia supercomputer has been provided to third-party researchers in the UK healthcare industry and will support research by AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, King’s College London, Oxford Nanopore,NHS Guy and St Thomas Foundation.
