When will this virus could be stopped (Coronavirus)

It has been weeks since coronavirus (nCOV) is spreading in higher rate. According to the reporter, about 1128701 deaths has been confirmed till the date. 99% of the deaths are from Hubei province China. Other 63,851 new cases has been reported. In Wuhan only 41088902 patients are hospitalized. Most of them are at critical situation. This situation have added somber warning that represents “very grave threat to rest of the world”.

The General Office of the National Health and Health Commission and the Office of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine have added new plan of clinical diagnoses to their patient classifications “so that patients can receive standardized treatment according to confirmed cases as early as possible to further improve the success rate of treatment,”.

According to an assistant professor and public health specialist at Butler University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, “testing and confirming cases takes longer because of a shortage of diagnostic tools. And supportive treatment is not available for many cases because of the shortage of facilities and health workers”.

So far, 14 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the U.S. It is prompting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to warn that they expect the virus to “take a foothold in the U.S.”

WHO announced a formal name for the coronavirus – COVID-19. Tedros said officials needed a name that did not refer to a geographical location, an animal, an individual or group of people. It also had to be pronounceable and related to the disease, he said.

CDC does not recommend wearing face masks or respirators as protection against the virus while in public. Only those who come in direct contact with COVID-19, such as health care providers or immediate family members of those confirmed infected with the virus should use those devices.

COVID-19, also known as coronavirus, presents symptoms consistent with a respiratory infection. Shortness of breath, coughing and fever may manifest in those infected within 2-14 days of initial exposure.
