Intel’s new H-series processor promise ultralight gaming laptops

Intel new H-series processor is better choice for new laptops. In September of last year the 11th generation Intel Core processors arrived with Tiger Lake. Now, on the occasion of CES 2021, the company has presented a series of novelties in its processors. Among all of them, the new Intel H-series processor stands out especially, designed to offer great performance in ultralight laptops.

Essentially, the new processors are designed to be used in ultra-light laptops where energy consumption is reduced and there is a minimum space that does not allow high temperatures due to the difficulty of dissipating heat. The H-series of 11th generation Intel processor here impose a considerable leap in power, according to the figures given by the brand.

Ultralight notebooks generally focus on offering long battery life, great carrying comfort, and reduced power by dedicating more of the computer to office tasks. The change that Intel raises here with its new chips is to give these notebooks enough power to be used for more than writing documents in Word.

Intel Core H35 Processors

The company has presented a total of three new processors in this H series. These are the following:

  • Core i7-11375H Special Edition
  • Core i7-11370H
  • Core i5-11300H

All of them have a TDP of 35W, data transfer support for LPDDR4x at 4,267 MT / s and 3,200 MT / s in DDR4. Four cores for all and eight threads. The big difference is found in the Special Edition model, which through Intel Turbo Boost 3.0 achieves an increased clock frequency of up to 5 GHz.

The processors are based on Intel’s Tiger Lake H35 10nm SuperFin architecture and process . Hence, they support different standards and features like integrated Thunderbolt 4, PCIe 4, or Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6 or 6E. It also integrates Xe-LP graphics. The great absence may be that of processors with more watts than 35W, perhaps we will see them in the future.
