Seasoned Destiny 2 players know they can count on the elusive merchant Xur to make an appearance with special exotic items every Friday, but what’s not so clear is where you’ll be able to find him. Below, you’ll find a map with a marker that indicates where Xur is and provides a list of his wares.
Who is Xur?
If you’re new to Destiny 2 and need a bit more information about how this works, you should know that Xur is a special vendor who sells exotic weapons and armor. Each week, he comes to the solar system with a slate of goods, including an exotic weapon and one piece of exotic armor for each character class. Lately, he carries Fated Engrams, which guarantee players an exotic drop they don’t already have from the collection of exotics from before the release of Shadowkeep.
Where to find Xur
The trouble with Xur is finding him. We always know when Xur will show up — at the daily reset at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET each Friday. The question is where Xur is. Previously in Destiny 2, Xur’s location was marked on the map. He’s now unmarked and harder to find each weekend. Here’s where to go to track down Xur, the Agent of the Nine, and everything you need to know about what he’s offering this week.
Xur’s wares for this week
(May 22 to May 26)
This week, you can find Xur on top of the barge in Nessus (the spot where Werner 99-40 also resides). To find him, load into the Watcher’s Grave landing zone and walk northwest until you see a big ship floating above the ground. Jump onto the ship and you’ll find Xur hanging out on the front of the ship, surrounded by golden chests.
Cerberus+1 – 29 Legendary Shards: If you don’t already have the Cerberus+1 exotic auto rifle, you should give Xur a visit this week. This wild weapon has four barrels, and your bullets will “shoot erratically” from all of them at once. There’s no gun quite like it, so if you’re a fan of chaotic weapons that can shred enemies in a second, this will be your new go-to.
Karnstein Armlets (Warlock) – 23 Legendary Shards: Karnstein Armlets turn your melee into a source of heals. While wearing these gauntlets, melee kills will restore a large chunk of health. You’ll continue to restore health for a short period after that initial bump too, giving you some consistent regeneration if you can land your punches.
Celestial Nighthawk (Hunter) – 23 Legendary Shards: Celestial Nighthawk is a must-have exotic for PVE players. This helmet changes your Golden Gun super to fire one powerful shot, instead of three smaller ones. Any enemies you kill with the shot will grant you super energy. This is best used for taking huge chunks of health out of bosses quickly.
Mask of the Quiet One (Titan) – 23 Legendary Shards: For Titans who love to tank damage, Xur is selling Mask of the Quiet One this week. This exotic helmet gives you ability energy whenever you take damage. Additionally, when you’re critically wounded, you’ll be able to regain your maximum health via kills. This helmet pairs nicely with aggressive playstyles, so you’ll want to check it out if you love running head-first into the action.
Isochronal Engram – 97 Legendary Shards: You can only buy one of these Engrams per week, per account, but if you’re filling out your exotic collection, it’s worth it. The Fated Engram automatically gives you something you’re missing from the Destiny 2 Year 1 and 2 exotic sets, and now Forsaken as well.
Five of Swords: Xur is also offering the Five of Swords challenge this week. This challenge introduces modifiers to Prestige Nightfall missions for increased rewards.
